Our Social Groups with Mentoring program gives participants the chance to spend their day out in the community with the support of caring mentors. Participants are either dropped off or arrive by public transportation at the first activity of the day. From there, the group spends the day together with mentors helping to guide, support, and encourage everyone.
Most days include two activities with a lunch break in between. When the activities are at different locations, the group uses public transportation to travel together. At the end of the day, participants either ride public transportation home or are picked up by a loved one.
Whether it’s visiting a local park, volunteering, learning a new skill, or enjoying a shared meal, our focus is on creating a fun, respectful, and empowering environment where everyone feels welcomed and safe.
